Shipping & Delivery Policy

We aim to keep delivery clear, transparent, and stress-free — especially for one-of-a-kind furniture and handmade pieces. Please read the information below before placing your order.


1. Order Processing

Retail orders (paint, accessories, and small items) are usually processed within 1–3 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) after you receive your order confirmation.

You will receive confirmation once your order has been dispatched or delivery arrangements have been made.

Upcycled furniture and large items are sold by independent Upcyclers and are delivered separately (see Section 4).


2. UK Shipping – Retail & Small Items

We currently ship within the UK only (excluding Northern Ireland).

Standard Delivery

  • £4.95 per order
  • Free on orders over £30*

*Free delivery over £30 excludes:
Bunty’s Paints, Sophie James Decor Paint products, LWB Handmade, LWB Upcycled, and LWB Vintage.


Paint Products (Weight-Based)

  • 0–2kg: £4.95
  • Over 2kg: £6.95
  • Colour paint charts & peel-and-stick samples: £2

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout.


LWB Vintage

  • £4.95 per order
    (No free delivery threshold applies)

3. Local Delivery (MK18)

  • Free local delivery on retail and LWB Vintage orders over £30 within MK18
  • Orders under £30: £4.95
  • Deliveries take place Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm
  • You will be contacted on the day of delivery using the phone number provided at checkout

4. LWB Upcycled Furniture & Large Items

Each piece is one-of-a-kind, so delivery is arranged individually to ensure safe handling.

Delivery Costs & Quotes

  • Standard delivery to mainland England: £85 (one-person service)
  • Additional charges may apply for Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, or remote areas
  • Two-person delivery, upper floor access, or difficult access may incur additional costs

Please provide your postcode before purchase if you require a confirmed quote.

All additional charges are always confirmed before delivery is arranged.

How Delivery Works

  • The independent Upcycler will contact you directly after purchase
  • Delivery times vary depending on location and courier availability
  • Items are delivered by the Upcycler or a specialist furniture courier
  • All items are carefully packaged for transit
  • Higher-value items are sent using tracked delivery where applicable

Collection & Local Delivery

  • Some items may qualify for local delivery or collection (within 30 miles)
  • This is at the discretion of the individual Upcycler

5. Responsibility for Delivery

Upcycled furniture and large items are sold by independent Upcyclers via the Little White Bird marketplace.

  • The Upcycler is responsible for arranging delivery
  • Little White Bird may assist with courier recommendations
  • Responsibility for the item transfers upon successful delivery

6. Returns, Refunds & Damaged Items

Retail & Small Items

  • Returns accepted within 30 days if unused and in original condition
  • Refunds issued minus return postage costs

Upcycled Furniture

  • Returns accepted within 14 days under UK consumer law
  • Change-of-mind returns accepted if returned safely and in original condition
  • Return postage is the buyer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty or mis-described

Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged:

  • Email samantha@littlewhitebird.co.uk
  • Include order number and clear photos of damage and packaging
  • We will work with you and the Upcycler to resolve the issue promptly

Minor imperfections consistent with handmade or upcycled items are not considered faults.


7. Liability

Little White Bird is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage during delivery arranged by an Upcycler.

Delivery issues are handled in line with our Returns & Refunds Policy. Customers are advised to inspect items promptly upon delivery.
