A stunning statement cabinet, upcycled and hand-painted by Chloe Kempster, named after her grandmother, Irene, who lived life to the fullest. Crafted from solid mahogany over a decade ago, this unique piece combines timeless craftsmanship with bespoke artistry, making it a striking addition to any home.
The cabinet has been fully stripped and lightly limewashed to emphasise the natural wood grain and intricate carved detailing, creating the perfect neutral backdrop for Chloe’s vibrant hand-painted floral glass panel. Inspired by wild meadows and daisies, the glass features shades of blue, cream, yellow, and pink, sealed under a clear resin for durability and practical everyday use. The interior has been painted deep navy to create a contrasting, contemporary finish.
Please note: the glass is painted on the reverse side, giving a layered, dual-image effect as pictured.
This one-of-a-kind cabinet is thoughtfully sized for versatile use. It works beautifully as a drinks cabinet for bottles and glassware, or as a decorative storage solution in a bedroom, bathroom, or hallway. Once your order is placed, the independent Upcycler who created your piece will contact you directly to arrange delivery. Items are delivered either personally or via a trusted specialist furniture courier to ensure safe and careful handling.
Collection is available from Wilbarston, near Market Harborough, Leicestershire. Free delivery is offered for addresses within a 30-mile radius.
